Like father like son! This little dude is pretty scared of the water though, and is still just testing the waters...he mostly likes to stay on the beach and build sand castles.

Brooklyn and Bentley fell in love with this beach...they 'surfed' all day there!

This was the first ocean swimming we did here on the Island. It was at Kapuna tide pools. But, Brooklyn was so afraid of the crabs that she wouldn't get in, lol. It was so beautiful there...

NEW POST FROM HAWAII

We are loving living in Hawaii so far. The kids are doing great! They did pretty good on the plane ride over here, and have adapted to the changes like champs! We took them to the beach, and they loved body boarding and surfing like it was the best thing they had ever tried! It has been so cute to watch them go through all of these crazy experiences, and to watch how well they adapt. We have taken them snorkeling, but Bentley is the only one who will put his head under the water. We have found some of the best spots on the island already thanks to "Auntie Nancy" who sent us the "book on Hawaii the Big Island," it has been SO HELPFUL!!! Speaking of...Ricky has an awesome boss here in Hilo who has been wonderful to us, and we are so grateful to them.

The house we are staying in here is new and gorgeous, however it gets to be 90 degrees plus in here on hot days. That is the worst thing about Hawaii so far. They do have a Walmart that we go to often, but is about 20min. away, so that is the other not so favorite thing...everything is somewhat far away. Besides that, the weather outside is perfect! The sun is out every day, and it does sprinkle with rain every day, but its not bad at all(it's also not the rainy season yet). Ricky loves snorkeling, and says that it is addicting, lol. I just love looking under the water to see all of the cool ocean life!

We found a really fun off roading area in MY NEW JEEP!!! It is SO FUN! For anyone who doesn't know, I love off roading, so the jeep has been awesome! We found the coolest snorkeling spot called "Champagne Pond," but by the time we got there is was dark. lol.

So far everything has been great! The family is happy, and we are having a great time! Now we just need visitors to come and see what we are blessed to live in everyday.

Family Pictures 2009

Mom and Brook had a great time possining for the camera...it was a little harder for the guys:)
But, we finally got Family Pictures!!! It was crazy and long, but we figure we should update our pictures at least every 5 years lol. Hope Yall are doing awesome...lots of love, The Nelson Fam!

7 months later...

It has been seven months since my last blog update...I dont know why it is so hard to find the time...i turned out to be as bad at facebook as I am at blogging lol.
Kids are growing, kindergarten has started for Brook. She is not sure if she likes it yet.
Ben is trying to ajust to having a little brother that wants his attention 24/7, Im not too sure he is ready for his new side kick.
Baby G is not so baby anymore. He is 19 months old and he is pretty sure hes at least 4. He gets upset When you cant understand his gibberish. . .and its a darn good thing he knows sign language for FOOD cause he would be starving...this is because the kid eats 20 times a day at least. lol:)
Dad is in his last year of Law School, and is always crazy busy. oh yah, and did I mention he is the pres of some Fraternaty. For anyone who knows him, yes I think it is possible for him to fit in a job too...oh wait, he did. lol. and somehow he still makes time for me and the kids. how lucky am i?
I am just trying to rehab my back, and re-align my brain(thats what well call it).
The rest of my life is rolled into a tight ball of kids, pee pee, whyning, diners and unending days, oh wait, and bartering;) And if I get more than 2 showers a week I would say it was a pretty good week! I love my job as mother and wife, even when I hate it. . .and now someone is screaming so its time for me to go.
